Dear Friends/Well Wishers
The Gregorian Community is a registered Trust, under the Mumbai Public Trust Act 1950. The Gregorian Community provides services to the under privileged in the secular community.
Presently it provides services to the old age community and a public school at Roha, Maharashtra. The community conducted a survey and identified about 400 plus children in the Roha area who are in need of a special school for the mentally challenged children.
The Gregorian Community is blessed with 75 acres of land in Roha and finds the compelling need to begin a school for the mentally challenged children.
The community is intending on becoming a thought leader in the support and development of mentally challenged children. This idea is supported by the present lack of residential facilities for the special children within Maharashtra.
We believe the availability of residential school in Roha will alleviate the burden placed on parents, of such children, who do not have knowledge or the facility to support or nurture their specially challenged children. As a supporting community we will be able to relieve the burden of anxious parents by supporting them through the upbringing process
The Community is based at Roha about 120 Km away from Mumbai on the Konkan Railway, on a 75 acre plateau surrounded by hills , forests and paddy fields – an ideal location to grow a holistic child.
A major motto of the community is service to the underprivileged.
We humbly request all the MGOCSM friends, well-wishers reach out and lend a hand to support the Gregorian community to provide the maximum service to the special children by coming for the inauguration on 3rd dec 2014 at GOREGAON SPORTS CLUB,link road , malad west at the banquet hall at10 am to 11 am and support for the cause.
