A Spiritual Revival Initiative


The Diocese of Bombay organized a Family Conference for the First time as part of the Spiritual Revival Initiatives. The event was held from 28th to 30th November at the Indira Institute of Business Management, Sanpada, Navi Mumbai. His Grace Geevarghese Mar Coorilos, Dr. Jacob Varghese, Dr. Ginu Jacob, Mr. Samuel James, Mrs. Marykutty James and Mr. Manoj Mathew led the sessions.

Five threats to Christian Family Life, God’s Plan for Oneness, Purpose of Oneness, Husband-Wife Communication, and Resolving Conflicts were the major themes dealt with. Separate sessions for moms and dads also were held. 15 couples participated in the three day program and realized the profundity and depth of Christian Marriage. Every couple agreed that they could rediscover the power of love and oneness in the sacred marital bond. A candle light Dinner also was arranged which was really unique and special for the couples. Mrs. Sujata Abraham, Mr. Jerin James, Mr. Mathew Cherian and Mrs. Nisha George conducted parallel sessions for the kids.

Fr Jacob Koshy (Gen. Convener), Fr Thomas K Chacko (Registration), Fr. Thomas Mathai (Food & Liturgy), Fr Kurian Baby (Chapel), Fr Joemon Thomas (Kids’ Sessions) and Mr. Jacob K. Varghese coordinated. Mr. RT Thomas (CEO of the IIBM) facilitated various arrangements.

Senior members of the Diocesan MGOCSM – Anup Alexander, Lloyd Joseph, Jijo Yohannan, Leslie Alex, Ashwin George, Jincy Valson, Megha Thomas, Linza and Divya Suseel rendered their sincere service as supporting team.

A Prayer Team was engaged in constant prayer in the premises during the event, coordinated by Mr. Thomas Varghese.

It was really a Weekend to Remember to one and all!
