About the Main Speaker: Rev. Fr. T.J.Joshua, who recently celebrated his 80th birthday is an extraordinary genius among the priests in the Malankara orthodox congregation. That unique and incomparable personality has the power of knowledge, the reverberations of the supreme power and also the purity of a spiritual instructor. He could get off a spark in the lamp of the psyche of the priests who were legislated out from 1955 onwards from Kottayam orthodox theological seminary (old seminary/study house). The Pastor’s both words and face have the same luminosity. Rev. Fr. Joshua is the teacher of all the present respectable bishops (except a few who haven’t done their studies from the priest seminary).

Here is an invitation to all of us to receive, respond and own the living Word of God, in an through the grant spiritual fellowship in the coming days across our Diocese. The milestone event, ‘The Bombay Orthodox Christian Convention 2015’ shall be a celebration of the reviving flame of the Word of God in all of us, who came together with faith, hope, pure love and prayer with willingness to submit. The fire of the living word shall be lit and its glow be translated from heart to heart. It shall be a personal encounter with the Lord, the One who declared: “I am the light of the world”. Let this Light glow in us and transform our lives. The Light of the Word of God shall illumine our hearts, homes, dreams and relationships. Let us take up His mandates and radiate this Light of the Gospel to others those who have not yet known His Love, adhering to His last Commandment.

New Testament accounts of the advent and nativity of Jesus stress the all-encompassing nature of the Christ event. Without reservation, the Biblical text says that God’s grace appears to all, offering the promise of forgiveness, healing and reconciliation with God in heaven and with our neighbors on earth. The grace of God has appeared in the person of Jesus Christ. He appears for the sake of marginalized shepherds and their families in his homeland. He attracts the attention of well-to-do scholars in distant nations. He appears to Mary and Joseph as a gift of God’s mystery. Through these faithful witnesses, and the proclamation of good news down the ages, Jesus appears to us. We, too, are called to respond to his presence among us today.
This is the season of Holy Nativity of the Lord Jesus Christ, there is no “Santa” there is only St. Nicholas! everyone can be “Santa”, you can give gifts and presents at any moment of any day not only in this period that was transformed to a commercial event by the evil hands…and it dangerously plug the love of the materialism to children, this period is a period of strong prayers, fasting and a holy event that makes the faithful closer to God! The Satanic forces of the world are using the X to spread their message that says that there is no Christ, be aware of that evil trick… it’s Christmas not Xmas!
May the grace and peace of God appear to many more through this season of Christmas! I wish you well at the turning of this year, and I pray for God’s blessing on our heavenly pilgrimage in the years to come.
